Before going to the Bridge, there was so much that I didn’t understand about Christianity. While at the Bridge, though I was nervous at first, I was welcomed with open arms and able to explore and learn about all of the workings that God does in our lives and what He has done for me in my own life. The more I continued to read my bible, attend the Bridge, and pray about any unanswered questions and help I needed, I actually SAW and understood more about what God does for me. The more I grew with my peers, I grew closer to God and ended my year by accepting and giving my life to Christ. Making the decision to get baptized was one of the easiest decisions I could’ve made and I am so thankful I got the opportunity to do so through the Bridge and everybody within who helped me get to that point!

I was going through a rough time before Malia invited me to The Bridge.  Y’all welcomed me with open arms I was a friend and I was family. Y’all were there whenever my daddy passed and from there I’ve gotten closer to God with reading the Bible every night before bed. Y’all made me realize God is always with me I just have to trust his plan, his judgment, and give him the praise to thank him everyday.

God has worked through me this year by giving me the confidence to be bold in my faith on campus and on social media. God has worked through the ministry by providing opportunities to go to christian conferences including passion and the relevant conference which allowed students to connect with others that have the same beliefs.
